Kelly Fox joined Miller Kaplan Arase LLP in 1995, specializing in financial statement audits for employee benefit plans and nonprofit organizations. He is involved in Miller Kaplan’s technical review committee, conducting internal inspections and quality control as coordinator for the employee benefit plans group. Kelly is responsible for all aspects of client service and engagement management, including budgeting, supervision of staff, reporting, tax filings and information returns, including Forms 990, 5500 and others.
Kelly’s employee benefit plan clients include both multiemployer and corporate plans. They range from small plans with assets under $500,000 to those with more than 50,000 participants and assets exceeding $3 billion. Kelly’s expertise covers a diverse array of plans, including defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, health and welfare benefit plans, training funds, 401(k)s, 403(b)s, profit sharing and employee stock option plans. His comprehension of ERISA is an asset to trustees and administrators in executing their fiduciary duties.
Kelly also specializes in audits of nonprofit organizations, including 501(c)(3) entities, associations, community-based development, health services and a variety of other tax-exempt organizations. He oversees audits in accordance with Yellow Book and OMB circular A-133 for organizations receiving federal funds.
In addition, Kelly is an active participant in his community, including youth athletics and as a School District Site Council board member for nine years.
