MKA Co-presents the Future of Licensing
Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co., LLP co-presents a panel discussion about the future of the licensing industry in New York City.
New York, N.Y., May 8 – Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co., LLP (MKA) of Los Angeles and Eisner LLP of New York (both independent Baker Tilly member firms) co-presented the first of two scheduled panel discussions about the licensing industry in New York at the Grand Hyatt on May 8th.
The discussion entitled “The Future of Licensing” included three accomplished industry leaders; Greg Battersby of Grimes & Batterys, LLP (intellectual property law firm), Stuart Seltzer of Marketing On Demand ( licensing consulting firm that specializes in licensing, partnership marketing and strategic alliances) and Tony Lisanti of License! Global (internationally circulated License trade publication). With the help of MKA’s Charles Schnaid as a co-moderator, the panel, discussed hot button topics, concerns, trends and other influences that are and may shift the licensing industry as a whole.
The invitation only event was attended by some of the East Coast’s most influential licensors and licensees and dubbed an overwhelming success by those that attended. “What was best about this discussion panel was the diversity and experience of each panelist …” explained Charles Schnaid. “… their knowledge and experience provided very beneficial outlook on the future of licensing.”
Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co., LLP and Eisner LLP will attempt to recreate this event’s success when the second of two scheduled discussions takes place this fall in Los Angeles.
