Andrew Koski, MBA
Andrew joined Miller, Kaplan, Arase & Co. in 2009 with the merger of Wolinsky, Becker & Hurewitz, LLP where he was a partner specializing in royalty and participation examinations in the entertainment industry. Prior to joining Wolinsky, Becker & Hurewitz in 2006, he was the Audit Director for Sony Pictures Television, and the Audit Manager for CBS Television providing him with a unique awareness of film and television accounting practices. Prior to that he supervised PolyGram Entertainment’s distribution rights assimilation of Epic Pictures, and was a production accountant on independent films. Andrew also had a successful career in shipping during which he received the USCG designation – Master Oceans Unlimited Tonnage (1992) before leaving the shipping industry for the entertainment industry.
Currently, Andrew travels for film, television, music and licensing clients in the firm's Licensing and Royalty Compliance division, providing a comprehensive set of inspection and advisory services to clients including: royalty compliance inspections, licensing agreement consulting and litigation support. Andrew is an approved MCLE course provider for the State of California for accounting and financial contract considerations in TV, Film, Music and Licensing. In addition, Andrew has been a Production Accounting for Film and Television instructor at the UCLA Extension, and a graduate of the Writers Boot Camp two-year Think Tank Program.
