Note: Methodology was changed for 2009 to disclose the mean power ratio for each format. Current year calculation uses revenue and audience share means (i.e. total of individual stations’ power ratios divided by number of stations within format). Previously, power ratios were obtained by dividing the weighted average revenue share by the weighted average audience share. Current year methodology change provides a format power ratio benchmark not skewed by unusually high performing stations. For 2010, only PPM markets were used which limits the number of stations included in the sample. As the PPM rollout continues, sample size will return to traditional levels.
